Lindsey AND Erin love Providence
Welcome to the small, scrappy city we call home! After getting stuck in Erin's Narragansett apartment during the early months of the pandemic, we decided it was time to get our own place, and fell in love with Providence’s historic Federal Hill neighborhood. Atwells Avenue is known for its restaurants, shopping, and Italian heritage. Broadway is lined with Victorian mansions and popular cafes, and you’ll find loads of hidden gems in the quiet side streets.
Just below us is the slightly cozier West End, with tree-lined streets and Armory park, which hosts a Thursday farmers market in the summer. Both neighborhoods are full of Airbnbs, and would be the perfect places to stay while in town for the wedding.
If you prefer a more traditional hotel, we recommend looking downtown. We’ve heard good things about The Dean Hotel. If you want to be closer to the ceremony, as well as trendy restaurants and shopping, we recommend looking for Airbnbs in College Hill.
For getting around town, we recommend renting a car or using rideshare apps. The Ubers are plentiful, and the cool thing about living in the country’s smallest state is that nothing is ever far! There is so much to do in and around Providence, all within a 10 minute drive. Check out this map for our favorite spots to eat, shop, and kill time.
